SPACE CLIMATE: Direct and Indirect Observations of Long-Term Solar Activity

• Sunday, 20 June (included into conference fee)
  19:00 - Welcome reception in the EDEN hotel
• Monday, 21 June (included into conference fee)
  20:00 - Welcome reception in the City hall or University + a short city tour by a train-bus called "Potna-Pekka".
• Tuesday, 22 June (included into conference fee)
  18:00 - Conference dinner at Kierikki stone age village including a guided tour over the stone village reconstruction (It's hard to believe but people were living here millennia ago).
• Thursday, 24 June (optional tour: about 20 Euro + admission fees + lunch (10-15 Euro))
  A tour to the Arctic Circle (about 250 km one way by a comfortable bus) where you can:
  • cross the Arctic circle;
  • visit the official Santa Claus's office, where you can meet, talk to and make a photo with the "real" Santa Claus (even though it is midsummer :)
  • visit an entertainment Santa-park (admission fee 20/15 Euro for adult/senior) with a lot of attractions (very interesting for kids), visit numerous Santa's souvenir shops and workshops;
  • visit the ARKTIKUM (Arctic museum) (admission fee 11/8.5 Euro);
